Terms & Conditions of Warranty

Walsh Avionics warrants its products in accordance with the following:

  1. Walsh Avionics warrants to the end purchaser of products that said products are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service.

  2. The warranty shall be limited to repair, replacement, or exchange of any part or parts, at Walsh Avionics option, which may thus prove defective under normal use and service within the warranty period from the date of purchase or installation on aircraft of original purchaser, which ever is the earlier, and which upon examination by the manufacturer, shall disclose to its satisfaction to be thus defective.

  3. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied including warranties of merchant ability and fitness for use, and of all other obligations or liabilities on our part. We neither assume, nor authorize any person to assume for us, any other liability in connection with the sale of Walsh Avionics products.

  4. This warranty shall not apply to these parts, nor any part thereof, which has been subject to accident, negligence, alteration, abuse, or misuse.

  5. We make no warranty whatsoever in respect to any accessories or parts not supplied by Walsh Avionics, nor do we make or extend any warranty with respect to improper installation of Walsh Avionics products.

  6. The term “original purchaser” as used in this warranty, shall be deemed to mean that person for whom the Walsh Avionics products were originally installed.

  7. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

 
COVERAGE & WARRANTY PERIOD

The below warranty schedule is for components only.  Products sold by Walsh Avionics are covered by warranty, to be free from defects in their workmanship and materials for the period set below:

  • Factory New:  Original equipment manufacturer’s warranty

  • Surplus New:  Twelve (12) months from date of shipment or five hundred (500) flight hours whichever occurs first.

  • Overhauled:  Six (6) months from date of shipment or three hundred (300) flight hours whichever occurs first.

  • Serviceable (used):  Three (3) months from date of shipment or one hundred (100) flight hours whichever comes first

  • As Is:  No warranty

CORRECTION OF DEFECTS

If, during the warranty period, a defect in workmanship or material renders the product(s) unserviceable, Walsh Avionics will correct the defect by either repairing or replacing the item, or at its option by coordinating with a repair/overhaul station/or supplier depending upon the content of the warranty clause and conditions stated therein.

Note:  All warranty items shall be returned to Walsh Avionics by the customer only after receiving an RMA (Return Material Authorization) from Walsh Avionics.

DETERMINATION OF DEFECTS

Walsh Avionics will determine if any defect in workmanship or material has occurred within the coverage of this warranty. If a product is determined not to be defective, Walsh Avionics will return such product to purchaser and, at its sole discretion, Walsh Avionics may charge purchaser for all costs incurred in the inspection, repair and return shipment of the product.

CONDITIONS

Walsh Avionics’ warranty obligations are subject to the following conditions:

  • The warranted product has been used under normal operating conditions and regularly serviced as established by the original product manufacturer and has not been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or improper handling, installation, maintenance or application.

  • The warranted product has not been altered or repaired by anyone other than Walsh Avionics or its designee.

  • Purchaser, within the warranty period, notified Walsh Avionics in writing and within thirty (30) days after such defect is discovered of any claim of defective workmanship or material and the basis for such claim.

  • This warranty expressly excludes from its coverage any labour charges for removal of the defective product and the installation of repaired or replaced product.

  • When returned for warranty service, the warranted product shall be accompanied by all the documentation originally delivered with the product.

  • Purchaser will ship at its expense and risk the warranted product to Walsh Avionics designated address.

  • Warranty coverage is for workmanship only and does not in any way include consequential damages.

MODIFICATION OR CHANGE

This warranty may not be modified or changed in any respect unless a written agreement executed explicitly by the Accountable Manager (or other authorised representative of Walsh Avionics) and the purchaser.
